This shoot was done way back. I really cannot even remember if it was done this year or the previous year. The model is "keen on serious modelling" Runner up of Miss Singapore, she definitely has the potential. And on the plus side, she has a very charming personality and is very friendly.

This is another one, I cannot remember when exactly I did it. It has been some time now. Her passion for modelling started at young age, and I heard she has taken part in competitions and has been modelling from the very young age of 11.

The Martial Artist

CC is an accomplished athelete. Her passion for martial arts has allowed her to participate in the Olympic Games and to represent her country. I have done some photos with her. She looks fierce and trust me she is very strong, well-toned and well-built. But there is also a sensual side to her. That part is for another post, perhaps. Meanwhile, credits go to the model.

I have done this shoot a very very long time ago. Somehow, I never found the time to upload it. It was meant to be a sensual shoot. Credits to the model.

I find it usually difficult to hold a SLR and to shoot oneself in it. It is especially tricky when you want to do a couple shoot and you are holding the camera yourself, one hand on the model, the other hand holding the heavy camera, with the finger somehow on the trigger. Can you picture that?

Birthday Party Celebration

I haven't been posting for a while. I have been shooting, perhaps not as frequently as previously. Birthday celebrations, especially in clubs, are really difficult to tackle for the photogrpahers. There are restrictions as to the equipment you can bring in, restrictions about what you can and what you cannot shoot, restrictions about the space you can use as clubs are crowded and full of people. Furtheremore, the crowd there is usually having fun and most of the times, unable to focus properly due to consumption of alcohol. People move around, following the beat of the music, often fast-paced, with glasses in their hands, spilling their contents as they jump around.

So you get the picture, it is challenging. It is also difficult because of the lighting that clubs use. Anyway, I am not saying all this because I want to find excuses for the poorer quality of the photos, if any. In fact, I am just pointing out the issues with shooting in clubs. One advice would be to bring the cheapest SLR you have, bring a zoom lens, kit lenses usually do great, anything from 18-55mm. And good luck !
