Chinese Garden

I had to use the GPS in my car to get there. The entrance to the carpark, is somehow, not very easy to locate. It was an overcast day, felt like it was going to rain. And it did, few drops here and there.

Please enjoy some of the photos and make sure you do visit there when you have the time. There is a very friendly uncle on site, who can talk non-stop about turtles. Make sure you pay him a visit.

Eventually, few drops of rain turned into a downpour. I had to end my photography and discovery journey. I have no clue how big this garden is, but it seemed to me that I probably covered only a very small section of the entire place. And guess what; Next to it, there is another garden. And it is called Japanese Garden.

I need to go there again.

SpiceWorld

In a far far away land, there is a garden where one is able to discover the various spices around the globe. To enter this garden, you need to rub yourself with some essential oil, lime flavour, so that the mosquitoes that loom around, don't feed on you by sucking your blood.

I went there last week. It takes about 1 hour to visit this spice garden, and perhaps, one towel to wipe your sweat due to the humidity there. It also takes a bit of courage as there are snakes around this place. I saw 2, they are very slim, green in colour and very fast.

Mount Faber by night

I always wanted to capture a nice photo of the full moon as well as lightning. Well, to capture the moon, you need a day where the skies are clear, a good telephoto lens and a night where the moon is full.

The sky was very clear, the moon was full, but I feel that the lens I am using is slightly restrictive. I would love to be able to zoom more. I think to capture a great moon, one needs a 600mm lens. Oh by the way, did I mention that a tripod is a pre-requisite.

Piano

After a long long time, I have finally decided to get a new piano. I always wanted a grand piano, however, it would not fit into my apartment. I am happy now, cos at least, I have an upright grand. Black colour with a very smooth sound.

Morning Shots

I like to walk along the river bank early in the morning. It is peaceful and quiet. The exhaust notes from the endless stream of cars are replaced by a deep sense of tranquility. From time to time, you see couple and families with children walk past. Take some time off, relax around there, of maybe have breakfast with your friends or your loved ones.

Photos from Marina Barrage

Today I wanted to try my new lens. David also bought a new camera. He loves it. Actually he loves it so much that he bought it twice. Well, that is another story altogether.

About the lens. This is a canon lens EF 75-300mm III USM. There is no image stabilizer. So it guess it won't work at night without tripods. Anyway here are a few shots I took with it.

The first photo is a panoramic view. I managed to capture a small lightning. It is not a scratch or some dust or some photoshop effect.
